The Still Point Journal is a literary journal for Arts and Humanities researchers in London, established in 2014. Issue 4: Traces is launching!
The Journal features short fiction, poetry and visual art, although its particular focus is on non-fiction writing, related – however tangentially – to academic research and the kind of rich thinking and exploration this demands.
This issue explores traces as an indication of existence; traces of the past and/or future; traces that are visible or geographical; invisible traces; traces as inspiration; traces as a narrative.
We see a wide range of interpretations of the theme, ranging from the evocation of linguistic memories of childhood to tidal erosion, the metaphorical cannibalism of the act of translation and quite a few beyond.
